How I’d explain that experience today

This example comes from my college admissions work. It’s how I’d explain its relevance to software sales today.

“In admissions, I worked with people deciding whether they could afford college, whether the education would be worth it and whether they were ready to enroll. Leadership kept comparing us with another school. I pointed out that students could decide against enrolling anywhere.

“That’s relevant to software sales because buyers can understand what we offer and still choose to keep what they have. I’d spent years asking people why they wanted to make a change and what concerns they had about doing it.”

Independence

I don’t place candidates or take fees from employers.

My role is to help you evaluate the decision and the evidence around it. I’m not compensated by an employer based on whether you take a particular role.
